George Elliott Clarke Worshop

The visit from George Elliott Clarke yesterday was truly one to remember. I admired his passion for writing, and his recitation of poetry was unlike anything I have ever seen before. He kept us all engaged throughout the entire workshop, and seemed to be a very kind man who we all could learn so much from. One thing that I would have preferred was if it were a bit shorter (i.e. if it ended at the end of the period) but I do appreciate him taking the time to come in and speak to a bunch of uncultured high school students. I did not know of him before yesterday, but I really did enjoy the knowledge and wisdom he had to share, and I'm excited to read more of his work.
