A: Hi.
B: Hi. We don’t have that much time, so I’ll need to make this quick.
A: What is it?
B: I’m pregnant.
A: Are you sure?
B: Yes. I took the test this morning.
A: And it’s mine?
B: It’s yours.
A: Okay.
B: Carrie says I should get an abortion. Dana says I should keep it.
A: So.
B: So?
A: It’s up to you.
B: Me?
A: Yes, you’re the one who’s going to have to carry it and give birth to it.
B: It’s not just my decision. It’s your child too.
A: I don’t want to force you to do anything. If you want to keep it, I’ll be here for you. If you don’t want to keep it, I’ll still be here.
B: I only just took the test today. I think I need some more time to think about it.
A: Okay.
B: Okay. What about your wife?
A: What about her?
B: If I keep it, will you leave her so that we can raise it together?
A: It depends.
B: On what? You told me yourself you didn’t love her anymore.
A: She still needs me. I can’t leave her just yet.
B: I thought you loved me.
A: I do.
B: No, you don’t.
A: Of course I do.
B: Then if I decide to keep the baby, will you leave her?
A: Yes.
B: Okay. I still have to think about it for a bit.
A: That’s fine.
B: I have to go now, class is starting in a few minutes.
A: Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow night.
B: I’ll see you. I love you.
