When did you start becoming disengaged in school?

I don’t believe I have ever started being disengaged in school, because I was never truly engaged in school to begin with. I can’t recall ever being excited to go to school on a regular basis; only on specific days such as the first day, the last day before Christmas or March Break, the very last day of school, or days where special events are taking place. Learning has never been a particular passion of mine - at least not when it comes to learning what we are taught at school. I never liked going to school, and I remember being particularly depressed on Sundays because all I would think about is the fact that the next day would be Monday and that there would be another painful week to grind through until the weekend comes back. However, I suppose I have become used to going to school, and am now accustomed to the routine. Having friends has always been one of the bright spots, and I usually tend to like my teachers as well. It is simply what we are learning that has never really engaged me or pushed me to like school. Since high school began, I have started to become more engaged through extracurriculars and such, but am still emotionally detached from the aspect of learning. I’m not sure what it is that could have gotten me more engaged in school, because I am the kind of person who is more into entertainment than learning.
